9th Optatec–Meet the Future of Optics

Optical technologies are experiencing sustained growth as a cross-divisional function! The 9th Optatec international trade fair for future optical technologies, components, systems and manufacturing will present worldwide offerings in a compact format at the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre from the 17th through the 20th of June, 2008. Light as a raw material, communication via optics, fibre-optics meet up with the end user – it's not only headlines like these in trade journals which make it plainly apparent that optical technologies have a verifiably brilliant future.

9th Optatec, international trade fair for future optical technologies, components, systems and manufacturing, will open the doors wide to this and more for industry players, and above all for international markets. Like no other trade fair in the optics sector, OPTATEC attracts all of the industry's relevant suppliers and users, and takes advantage of the internationalism offered by its exhibition venue in Frankfurt to this end.

The OPTATEC project team at private trade fair promoters P. E. Schall GmbH & Co. KG already has an impressive list of exhibitors and lots of reservations. The fact that most of the exhibitors from both inside and outside of Germany have booked more booth floor space than before is significant, and the figures for the last OPTATEC which took place in 2006 have already been considerably surpassed.

In the usual, time-tested fashion, the highly popular expert seminars, as well as the exhibitor forum which has already been all but booked out, will once again take place at the 9th OPTATEC. Beyond this, the analysts' conference organised by SPECTARIS, German Industry Association for Optical, Medical and Mechatronic

Technologies, will once again be held concurrent to OPTATEC, thus assuring that the crème de la crème of the future-oriented optical technologies industry will meet in Frankfurt from the 17th through the 20th of June, 2008. And the fact that this will indeed be the case is substantiated by participation on the part of all national and international market leaders, as well as highly innovative special companies from all over the world.

Rising numbers of exhibitors from outside of Germany is a positive sign. On the one hand, this illustrates just how important OPTATEC is at the international level and, on the other hand, it shows that in particular foreign manufacturers appear to hold OPTATEC and its venue in Frankfurt in high esteem as an ideal springboard for accessing highly interesting markets in Central Europe's industrial nations.

At the moment, exhibiting companies from 25 countries have registered to participate at OPTATEC 2008. Due to the fact that lots of companies are still demonstrating strong interest in participation at the event, the registration deadline has been extended in order to provide interested parties with the opportunity of taking part in the most important trade fair for optical technologies in the year 2008!
