| Accessories Take Center Stage at Atlanta Apparel This June Continuing the momentum of product category growth in 2008, Accessories will take center stage during the June 21-24, Atlanta Apparel Market at AmericasMart, welcoming Jessica Simpson footwear and handbags and other fashion industry leaders. The largest apparel market on the East Coast will also feature high-end contemporary, men's and young contemporary categories and other expanding product centers, aligning with AmericasMart's commitment to offer fresh product selection, trends and introductions each market. With two entire floors—permanent showrooms on Floor 8 and temporary booths on Floor 4—dedicated exclusively to Accessories, this expanding category offers fashion-forward styles in shoes, handbags, hats, belts, fashion jewelry & fine jewelry, leather goods and eyewear. In addition, streetwear accessories can be found in AmericasMart a1pha, while high-end fashion accessories are located in AmericasMart Premiere and on Floor 8. Fine jewelry is found on Floors 6 and 7. Evidence of Accessories' strength is apparent with 100 percent of the permanent space on Floor 8 fully leased. New showrooms on 8 include: Niche 404, Tonobi, Raviani handbags and DansSara Shoes Collections. And, the Shoe Studio on Floor 4 will house Jessica Simpson footwear and handbags—displaying product across four booths—and other renowned names in the fashion community. Buyers will also have the opportunity to discover other expanding product categories: more high-end men's in Premiere and the NY/LA Co-Ops, larger product selection in the permanent men's showrooms on Floor 12, the growing Personal Care/Spa category which features Hollywood Fashion Tape, Foot Petals, candles, lotion & hand cream, robes and other personal care products and the Eco-friendly category in Premiere which recognizes environmentally friendly and "green" apparel and accessories. In addition to the product offerings, AmeicasMart is dedicated to further enhancing the market experience for buyers, as well as exhibitors, with onsite events and parties. The Style Runway fashion show—held Saturday at 6:30 p.m. in the Fashion Theatre on Floor 15—will spotlight accessories, along with several other categories within ready-to-wear. AmericasMart will host a cocktail party prior to the show starting at 6 p.m. Sunday afternoon brings the Swag Bag Event in which retailers will have the chance to grab a fashionable bag filled with freebies from accessory showrooms and booths, as well as a martini glass for a free cocktail during Shop Late 'Til Eight. Additionally, AmericasMart is throwing a summer networking party for all attendees on Monday, June 23, 6-8:30 p.m. in the first floor lobby.
