| The OC Air Show It's full throttle ahead in Ocean City, MD for the town's firstever air show following last week's approval by the Ocean City Mayor and City Council. The OC Air Show will help kick off the town's 2008 summer season on June 10-11, adding a new signature attraction to Ocean City's roster of annual events. Military aircraft demonstrations, low altitude flyovers and civilian aerobatic performances will take place over the Ocean City beachfront from noon to 3 p.m. each day. The air show will be visible along the majority of the Boardwalk creating an inspiring experience for visitors while they enjoy the hospitality of Ocean City's beach and attractions. Interactive displays and exhibits will be open to the public on the streets surrounding Show Center, that will be located at 16th Street on the Boardwalk where premium viewing opportunities and hospitality chalets will be available to businesses and public attendees. The Ocean City Municipal Airport will host an open house in conjunction with the OC Air Show on Monday, June 9, where performing aircraft can be viewed up close along with other aircraft. "We are very excited to host the OC Air Show, " said Mayor Rick Meehan. "This event will generate a lot of excitement in the early part of our season and we look forward to offering a brand new event for families and enthusiasts to enjoy in Ocean City." The Town of Ocean City is co-sponsoring OC Air Show in partnership with B. Lilley Inc., a firm specializing in the production and management of large public events. "This will be a signature aviation event, " said Bryan S. Lilley, president of the firm.
