IDEM Singapore-The Number 1 Dental Fair in The Asia-Pacific Region

The biggest IDEM Singapore to date will be held at the Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Center from 4th to 6th April 2008. Visitors can look forward to more than 300 exhibitors from around 35 countries as well as to a first-rate conference with top international speakers.

The exhibitors will include the dental industry's top companies, many of which will have considerably larger stands. There will be country pavilions from four continents and the show will cover a record gross exhibition area of almost 10,000 square metres. In 2008, the number one dental-sector trade fair in the Asia-Pacific region will once again serve as a strategic platform for dentists, trading firms, dental technicians, and research and development companies – one that also offers excellent opportunities for business networking.

All dental professionals who register will receive an admission ticket and an exhibition catalogue free of charge. At the website, IDEM visitors can also book discounted hotel accommodation for the entire duration of the event. And last but not least, the website also provides information on the program of the IDEM congress for dental technology and oral health, as well as the opportunity to register online for the congress.

The list of exhibitors at IDEM Singapore 2008, which is organized by Koelnmesse GmbH and its Singapore-based subsidiary Koelnmesse Pte. Ltd, reads like a veritable "who's who" of the international dental market. The list includes GC Asia, Ivoclar Vivadent, Nobel Biocare, VITA Zahnfabrik, Sirona, Dürr Dental, 3M Espe, Carl Zeiss, Dentsply Asia, J. Morita, SciCan, SOREDEX, Zimmer Page 2/3 Dental and Straumann. Many of the exhibitors have expanded their stand areas, including KaVo and Heraeus Kulzer.

Several first-time participants, such as Ewoo, will be exhibiting on a large scale at their premiere participation in Singapore in 2008. New exhibitors at next year's show also include the global British-Dutch group UNILEVER, which has chosen IDEM to present its partnership with the FDI World Dental Federation and their joint campaign — called "Live. Learn. Laugh." — to the Southeast Asian market.

The show will again feature joint stands and pavilions from countries right around the globe, including Switzerland and Liechtenstein, Germany, the U.S., Brazil and Singapore. These group stands will be situated at prime locations and some of them will be even twice as large as in 2006. In addition, for next year's fair the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore (FCCS) will also feature the first-ever French pavilion under the auspices of UBIFRANCE, subject to the relevant number of French manufacturers finally applying.

World-class researchers and speakers will make the IDEM congress one of the world's key meetings of experts in 2008. The congress will focus on "The Scientific Basis of Clinical Practice" and highlight topics devoted to applied dental technology and dental health. Responsible for ensuring the high quality of the conference program is the Singapore Dental Association (SDA) in cooperation with the FDI and the World Dental Education Society in Singapore. The list of speakers will include Prof. Steven Offenbacher, Prof. Edward J. Swift and Prof. Gregory King (all U.S.), Prof. Shimon Friedman (Canada), Prof. Patrick Tseng (Singapore) and other noted experts in fields ranging from implantology to restoration and the prevention of infection.

Visitors will have it easier than before to find the exhibitors of their specific product areas, as the organizers of IDEM have restructured the exhibition's product groups to give them a clearer layout. The following topic areas with comprehensive sub-segments will be featured at IDEM Singapore: Dental Practice, Dental Laboratory, Infection Control and Maintenance as well as Services, Information, Communication and Organization.

But IDEM Singapore doesn't only offer the right content — it also has the right framework conditions. The Suntec Singapore International Convention & Page 3/3 Exhibition Center is in the heart of the city's central business district, only 20 minutes from Changi International Airport. The exhibition center boasts stateof- the-art equipment as well as an excellent quality of stay. The surrounding area, with its 5,200 hotel rooms, 1,000 shops and 300 restaurants, also makes the exhibition center an extremely attractive venue for all IDEM visitors and exhibitors.
