Promotion World 2008

Promotion World 2008 is fully booked, with 170 exhibitors preparing to show their wares on some 3,900 square meters of floorspace. These figures highlight the fact that the fair has already become a firm annual fixture in the promotional products industry. "This third year is pivotal to the development of the fair. After our outstanding success last year, we are delighted with how things stand in the run-up to this year's event, " explains Arno Reich, project manager for Promotion World, who is also in charge of two major trade fairs at HANNOVER MESSE. He continues: "Linking the show with HANNOVER MESSE gives Promotion World exhibitors a unique opportunity to engage directly with marketing and sales personnel among the exhibitors and visitors at the world's largest technology fair."

Some 60 exhibitors are new to Promotion World this year, including many well-known companies from the promotional products industry, such as Picard Lederwaren in Obertshausen, Weimarer Porzellanmanufaktur in Blankenhain, and Clock Worx Uhren in Lüdenscheidt. For the first time, a large number of foreign companies, primarily from Denmark, Italy, the Czech Republic, Poland and Switzerland, will be showcasing their products at Promotion World.

An impressive range of promotional products will be on display at Promotion World, taking in everything from inexpensive giveaways to top-quality promotional gifts. The show's display categories cover print products, metal goods/tools, cutting tools, writing utensils, textiles and chinaware.

Patrick Politze, Chairman of the GWW (German Association for the Promotional Products Industry, Darmstadt) and President of the BWL (German Federation of Promotional Products Suppliers, Cologne), has revealed that there will be more high-end and "green" products on show this year. The portfolios of nearly all exhibitors include articles designed to meet the growing demand for ecologically sound products. Politze explains that the promotional products industry has seen positive development in the last year and is now worth around EUR 3 billion.

For the first time, Promotion World 2008 will dedicate an entire day to industry professionals. On 25 April 2008, the final day of the fair, access to Hall 18 will be restricted to international marketing and sales personnel and HANNOVER MESSE exhibitors. "On that Friday, we want to give our HANNOVER MESSE exhibitors in particular the opportunity to find out what PROMOTION WORLD is all about, and to chat with the experts about the products and services on offer, " explains Arno Reich. This dedicated day came about thanks to suggestions from our Promotion World exhibitors.
