| The 9th Optatec – The Trade Fair Regarding Optical Technologies ![]() Expressed in absolute figures, this amounts to 182 exhibiting companies plus 30 co-exhibitors and additionally represented companies. In contrast, 2006 saw a total of 310 exhibitors plus 245 co-exhibitors and additionally represented companies. Consequentially, the proportion of direct exhibitors increased considerably, something which is also expressed in the enormous increase in exhibition area. Because the mentioned 182 exhibitors have already booked 73% of the hall area occupied for the last event. The currently occupied area with its 6307 m2 - including the 33 exhibitors already planned via Letters of Intent - is already more than 88% of the area occupied the last time. For the internationally established and most successful private trade fair eventers in Germany, Paul E. Schall, the OPTATEC trade fair team and of course the cooperation partners SPECTARIS (Deutscher Industrieverband für optische, medizinische und mechatronische Technologien e.V.) and EOS European Optical Society, the 9th OPTATEC emerges with record participation. In addition, the continuous good economic data give reason for hope that the investment, and therefore the innovation climate will remain at a high level. For sector members in the Optical Technologies area, everything points to "good to excellent" because the growing requirement of mechatronic as well as micro and nano-technological systems and solutions cannot be covered without the increased application of optical systems and technologies. The necessity of a thematic, clearly focussed yet cross-sectoral informing international trade fair such as the OPTATEC become apparent for this specific reason. Because only an interdisciplinary platform creates the market's rapid access to current results from research and practice for industrial utilisation. With this in mind the OPTATEC also plays an important mediator role in the technology transfer to other industrial areas and supports continuous good business for their exhibitors. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Exhibition News :: home page |
