| Atlantic Zeiser Inkjet, Curing Launches at Drupa 2008 Atlantic Zeiser, supplier of dedicated personalization and encoding systems for the label market, announces the introduction of the OMEGA 36 HD and OMEGA 210, two new high resolution inkjet printing systems, and the launch of the SMARTCURE Series, a new eco-friendly LED UV curing solution, at drupa 2008. During the world's largest printing show, to be held from 29.5.08 – 11.6.08 in Düsseldorf, the company will also reveal the newest developments in its in-house ink. Atlantic Zeiser acts as an experienced "one-stop" system integrator in order to supply complete modular and scalable solutions for product marking and coding. To further broaden the supply chain and the number of applications, Atlantic Zeiser has decided to offer its inkjet technology also to OEM partners for the integration into third party systems. As a first result MABEG Maschinenbau GMBH & Co. KG will present two OMEGA 36i with inspection cameras and two SmartCure 36i units in Hall 9, stand A21. Oliver Mehler, CEO of Atlantic Zeiser, comments: "Atlantic Zeiser has years of experience as a leading innovator and developer in personalization and encoding solutions. Drupa, the world's largest print media exhibition offers us the perfect opportunity to present our latest technologies and developments to the market. Our customers benefit from the scalability and expandability of the system within the value chain, along with conversion, personalization and quality control." Atlantic Zeiser's product offerings during Drupa 2008 include high quality variable data printing and late stage product customization on carton, labels and on flexible packaging materials such as foils, PET or aluminum. Applications will include all types of barcodes, sequential and random numbers, expiry dates, lot number, product codes, and product or country specific information. Therefore, Drupa 2008 is the ideal platform for Atlantic Zeiser to present its newest system offerings to commercial and label printers, narrow web and security printers, industrial and package printers, as well as to inkjet OEM partners for integration into third party systems. The new OMEGA 36 HD and the enhanced OMEGA 210 digital inkjet printers are the perfect extension to the successful OMEGA inkjet range. These lightweight and compact size printers are easily integrated into most existing equipment. The OMEGA 36/36i range was designed and developed by Atlantic Zeiser, reflecting the company's years of expertise in inkjet development. The printers can be installed on web or sheet-fed applications. With a resolution of 720 dpi – compared to a resolution of 360 dpi for the OMEGA 36/36i – the new OMEGA 36 HD ("High Definition") in combination with Atlantic Zeiser's proprietary inks ensures clear and crisp printing of extremely small characters and produces barcodes with excellent readability and clarity. The enhanced OMEGA 210 increases print width to 210 mm with black and spot color inks. The OMEGA digital inkjet range prints on a wide variety of substrates, including paper and carton, as well as specialized materials such as aluminum, polymer foils and plastics. The OMEGA printheads achieve the quality of flexographic printing with the significant advantage of printing variable data. This versatile inkjet system prints variable data on all types of plastic cards and packaging, and can also be adapted for high quality mailings, personalizing ID cards in security print and printing labels, particularly those with special coatings. Because the OMEGA printing system is designed for use in either web or sheet-fed processes, there are virtually no limits to its field of application. The OMEGA will enable print service providers to take on cost-effective short-run jobs, previously reserved for flexographic and silk-screen printing — all with a high level of quality and in a fraction of the time. With the SMARTCURE Series, Atlantic Zeiser presents its second generation of LED UV curing. This new cost-saving LED UV curing solution is also eco-friendly due to a low energy consumption compared to lamp-based systems, a ten time longer life-time, no ozone generation and lower cooling requirements. Its compact size allows for easy integration and it comes equipped with an instant on/off functionality that eliminates energy consumption during machine stops. As part of the ongoing process of innovation, new inks for difficult surfaces such as cotton, plastics or varnished media are constantly being developed and manufactured. To this effect, Atlantic Zeiser will present at drupa its latest developments regarding its in-house inks. Perfectly adapted to the new printer range and LED UV curing solutions, Atlantic Zeiser's in-house inks are considered as special fast-curing inks developing a high contrast with a high adhesion to non-absorbent substrates. In security printing applications in particular, specially developed security inks and color inks (as well as spot as CMYK process colors) are used alongside ordinary ink types. Concludes Mr. Mehler: "As a full service system integrator, we are offering a customized combination of printers, inks, dryers, controllers, personalization software, transport systems, and camera-based monitoring systems that can be tailored to the customer's individual requirements. We are able to guarantee optimum quality and allow our customers to gain a competitive market advantage by expanding their service offering and addressing new business opportunities and applications. Our goal is to provide our customers with an end-to-end solution for their applications from a single source." write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Exhibition News :: home page |
