| 2008 Machinery and Industrial Supplies Trade Fair Brazil is still one of the world's biggest producers of machinery and equipment. In the first six months of 2007 the sector recorded growth of 10% in revenues compared with the same period last year. This is the scenario setting the optimistic tone for the 27th International Machinery and Industrial Supplies Trade Fair, the most representative fair in this particular sector in South America. Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado, the event's promoter and organizer, is estimating that some 115,000 visitors/buyers will visit the Anhembi Exhibition Pavilion in São Paulo, between May 13 and 17, 2008, interested in seeing the very latest that is on show from the 1,950 exhibitors from 35 countries. "The International Machinery Fair is one of the most important events for Brazil's machinery and equipment industry. It brings together the main companies in the sector and their target-public, creating an environment that is very favourable for doing business", comments Evaristo Nascimento, the fair's director. Right from the start the Machinery Fair has been a major showcase for the machinery, equipment, accessories and solutions for the industrial facilities of more than 25 industrial segments, in the areas of production, maintenance, transport, warehousing, quality control and automation. There were more than 1,900 exhibiting companies, from 35 countries and 114,000 visitors/buyers from 40 countries at the last edition of the Machinery and Industrial Supplies Trade Fair in 2006. These are numbers that impress by their sheer volume and even more with the quality of the highly sector-focused visiting public, an aspect that was much praised by exhibitors at last year's fair. Among the attractions that help leverage business the fair provides access to International Business Rounds and financing to facilitate the purchase of machinery and equipment during the event. These actions are the result of the important partnership that exists between Reed Exhibitions Alcantara Machado and the Brazilian Machinery and Equipment Industry Association (Abimaq), which supports the event. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Exhibition News :: home page |
