| The 36th International Exhibition of Inventions The 36th International Exhibition of Inventions, New Techniques and Products of Geneva is to take place from the 2nd to the 6th April 2008 in Palexpo, under the patronage of the President of the Swiss Government and of the State and City of Geneva, as well as many national and international organisms. With more than 700 exhibitors from 45 countries and 65'000 visitors, it is the largest and most important Exhibition exclusively devoted to inventions in the world. 1'000 completely new inventions in all areas of human activity are presented by companies, researchers and inventors, universities and private and State organisms. So this is a unique exhibition which has to be visited. Le public's interest will be aroused when they discover inventions which will make their everyday lives more pleasant. Young people will be able to develop their inventive spirit and professional visitors will do excellent business. In fact, the Geneva Exhibition is the ideal place for exhibitors to meet investors, industrialists and commercial agents in order to diffuse the inventions rapidly on the international market. A questionnaire given to the exhibitors at the 2007 Exhibition shows that 75.65% are satisfied or very satisfied with the business contacts they made. Furthermore, licences were negotiated for a total amount in excess of US$ 40 million. The awarding of the Grand Prix of the Exhibition and of 49 special prizes by the International Jury gives each invention the chance of being immediately recognized at its true value.
