| International Tourism Fair TCV (International Tourism Fair Comunidad Valenciana), holding its upcoming fourth edition from 4th to 6th April 2008, is now recognised as one of the major trade events for the tourism industry in Spain. The Spanish regions, tourism boards and destination countries have expressed their interest in repeating at TCV, a show registering in excess of 50,000 visitors at its last edition. The Head of the Regional Tourism Dept Angelica Such claimed that "this trade event is a key tool for the international promotion of destinations and tourist entrepreneurs from the region of Valencia, opening new business opportunities with tour operators, travel agencies, airlines, mass media and tourism promoters". During the three days of the fair, both trade visitors and public alike can get a first-hand view of the main tourist destinations of the region of Valencia, Spain and the rest of the world. In this regard, also worth underscoring is the high trade profile of the event. TCV´s mandate is to bring trade visitors and public into contact with agencies, tour operators, transport companies, catering, professional associations, service companies, meeting & congress organizers, tourist boards, specialised training and media. Thanks to the comprehensive range of tourism products and services, visitors can arrange their holidays or business trips with the major suppliers of services and tourist destinations from all over the world. The Contract Market is one of the most highly appreciated aspects of the fair´s professional offer, taking place one day prior to the opening of the fair to the public. This unique professional meeting brings together traders and buyers of tourist services and products. According to Ms Such "at this top class event, we are not only showcasing our tourist offer worldwide, but also offering the opportunity for direct contracting". This working format has been designed exclusively for trade professionals from the tourist sector. An agenda of meetings is scheduled and operators take part in an international business forum divided up in contracting areas designed to foster contacts between buyers and sellers of tourist services and products. The Contract Market is open to any trade professional from the tourist sector with business and marketing capacity, whether they are exhibitors or not. During its previous edition in 2007, approximately 800 meetings were held at TCV. Among the international buyers a special mention is deserved for market operators from Brazil, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, Holland, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Poland, Turkey, UK and USA. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Exhibition News :: home page |
