| China Outbound Travel and Tourism Market IFCOT, the International Forum on Chinese Outbound Tourism, will co-partner with COTTM for a consecutive year to run their annual forum alongside the outbound travel and tourism show of China. COTTM, China Outbound Travel and Tourism Market, is the only business-to-business exhibition in China designated to service the fast-growing Chinese outbound travel and tourism market. Taking place on 14-16 April at the China World Trade Center in Beijing (CWTC), COTTM will be complimented by IFCOT's high-profile conference, which brings together travel industry experts from across China and the rest of the world. COTTM and IFCOT organisers see a mutual benefit in joining the two events together: this partnership will mean that the exhibitors and visitors will have the best of the two worlds – a trade fair, which offers networking and making contracts, and a conference covering the Chinese outbound market from a variety of angles. IFCOT is a widely acclaimed educational forum, which has the support of China National Tourism Association (CNTA), China Tourism Association (CTA), World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO), Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), large tour operators, main state tourist boards and a number of multinational companies. The event has a high recognition among the travel industry professionals, as within one day the event aggregates hundreds of people and becomes a focal point for attendees to learn and deliberate on all the current intricacies of China's travel and tourism trends and characteristics. The theme of this year's forum is "Approaching the destination', and the conference programme will include such topics of discussions as: the current structure and characteristics of China outbound market; favourite destinations of Chinese tourists and the services they require from home travel operators and international agents; future outbound market trends; Approved Destination Status present issues and future developments, and other. Commenting on the forthcoming forum Dr Wang Xinjun, Secretary General of the IFCOT Organising Committee, said, 'The Chinese outbound tourism market has been showing tremendous growth rates. Comparing the statistics of Chinese travelers abroad we have witnessed an increase of 24.3 million tourists just from 2002 to-date. Our organisation recognises this industry's potential and wants to be among the leaders to build and strengthen this market. We're delighted to co-operate with COTTM for the 2008 event, which will give us a good opportunity to extend the network of our attendees and at the same time provide them with topics and discussions of high educational value. We've got some very high-profile industry experts and leading authorities in the China outbound tourism who will be taking to the stage to share their knowledge and practical advice about the latest market trends and developments.' write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Exhibition News :: home page |
