The Economic Forum of the Polish Wood and Furniture Industry Polwood is one of the most important events for the woodworking and furniture sectors in Poland. Specialists and company representatives participating in the lectures and discussions answer the most urging questions about the status of the woodworking sector, talk about its development opportunities and threats.

The organisers (Inwestor Publishing House, Poznań International Fair and PricewaterhouseCoopers) have made sure Polwood becomes a breakthrough event in the dialogue between woodworking entrepreneurs, experts – market analysts, scientists and decision-makers, i.e. politicians that shape the business environment.

Polwood Forum: professional market research, discussion of the largest problems of the sector, interesting debates, direct contact with entrepreneurs, experts and politicians, valuable conclusions, summary in "White Paper of the Woodworking and Furniture Industries in Poland".

Following last year's experience, we want to enrich the upcoming forum with events that will improve the exchange of knowledge between stakeholders even more. The forum will start with a presentation of research results obtained by Inwestor Publishing House in close cooperation with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

The most important macro- and microeconomic data that help take decisions about development directions for the woodworking and furniture businesses in Poland will serve as a starting point of discussions among experts, scientists and entrepreneurs. Results of research conducted both among entrepreneurs who use wood or wood derivatives in trade, production and services and among consumers of these products will be analysed.

Invitations to the Forum have been extended to general managers or deputy managers and owners of the majority of companies from the woodworking and furniture sector. The participants will include: authorities and members of industrial organisations, representatives of scientific institutions, lecturers and students, managers and owners of woodworking and furniture companies, directors of the State Forests, forest rangers, ministers, employees of departments related to the woodworking and furniture sector.
