| The Baking Industry Exhibition  The UK's largest B2B festival of food and drink - Food & Drink World - is off to a flying start with the news that William Reed's new Baking Industry Exhibition (BIE) has won the support of Bakery Exhibitors Ltd (BEL) the board of Food & Bake exhibition. The Baking Industry Exhibition (BIE) will be held at the Birmingham NEC from 6-9 April 2008 alongside Food & Drink Expo, the Convenience Retailing Show, Foodex Meatex and IFFE, which under the umbrella title Food & Drink World 2006 is the largest and most influential gathering of suppliers and buyers in the UK's food and drink market.Welcoming the announcement David Marsh, chairman of BEL said: "This decision secures a single industry exhibition to provide a unifying platform for bakers, suppliers and their associations." Peter Mellon, President, Reiser UK, commented: "If William Reed can do for the bakery industry what they have done for the meat industry it will give the whole sector a much needed boost."
