2008 Natural Stone Show

Stone Federation Great Britain will be back at the heart of the 2008 Natural Stone Show at ExCeL, 11-13 March, next year with their 'stone village', having signed an agreement to support the next two editions of the exhibition.

The 'stone village' will feature live demonstrations of stone being worked and a technical help desk manned throughout the show. Stone Federation technical experts will be on hand to answer questions and Stone Federation members will be available to help visitors with the selection and choice of stone. Many stone samples will be on display and examples of projects where stone has been used will also be featured on members' stands.

Among the Federation members who have already confirmed their positions in the 'stone village' are industry leaders such as Albion Stone, Johnsons Wellfield Quarries, Realstone, Stancliffe, Great Tew, Halfen, Solnhofen Group and Sandberg.

While a number of Stone Federation members – including Rocomat, Vetter (UK), Stats and Lithofin – will also be taking large stands outside of the 'village' .

Federation director Jane Buxey said: "Stone Federation are delighted to have signed up as official supporters of the next two Natural Stone Shows (2008 and 2010), as we have been since the exhibitions first started in 1995.

"Our 'village' at the heart of the show, with our members exhibiting on the distinctively designed stands within the area, represents all that's best in the stone industry in the UK today and promises to be bigger than ever at the 2008 event.

"The exhibition as a whole is a superb showcase for this truly international industry, bringing it together every two years under one roof for the benefit of everyone who wants to use this most versatile of building products in any of its diverse applications."
