Wind Power Asia Moves For a Larger Exhibition Space

Wind Power Asia is one of the leading international trade fairs for the wind energy sectors in China. The last four Wind Power Asia events (held annually since 2003) were in China World Trade Centre, but the show will move to Beijing Exhibition Centre for 2008 to create additional opportunities for exhibitors with much larger exhibition area.

The 5th Wind Power Asia is expected to cover over 25,000sqm of space. Items on display at the fair will include wind turbines, wind turbine accessaries, wind farm inspection systems and all the related products. In addition to the main exhibition, there will be a specialist conference / symposium, plus a number of other technical seminars, product demonstrations, and company presentations for exhibitors and visitors to enjoy.

"Wind Power Asia has always been the most important platform for dialogue between Chinese experts and Europeans, but also for Chinese manufacturers of high-tech wind energy systems, " says Mr. Zhao Xiaoping, Director, the Bureau of Energy of the National Development and Reform Commission, a major supporter of the event.

"The reason for the success of Wind Power Asia is first of all, that this show presents renewable energy and concentrates exclusively on experts not on end-users. The Chinese-European dialogue on wind energy is especially important in times of rising energy prices. China as well as Europe is looking deeply into the improvement of energy-efficiency in every sector. Therefore we consider the dialogue at Wind Power Asia as a useful instrument for the benefit of both sides, " adds Mr. Zhao Xiaoping.

Wind Power Asia is organised by Unique International Exhibitions and Beijing Jipeng Consultans, and supported by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Science and Technology.
