| BikeAsia 2008  We are pleased to announce the launch of BikeAsia 2008, the First International Trade Show and Exhibition of Bicycles, Motorcycles and Accessories in Asia. To be held from April 10 - 13, 2008 in Singapore at the Singapore Expo, BikeAsia 2008 will showcase the best the 2-wheel industry has to offer at its 20,000 sq.m exhibition space! Bicycle and motorcycle manufacturers, retailers, distributors, designers and enthusiasts from all over the world will congregate at BikeAsia 2008 - International Trade Show and Exhibition!Initially conceived by Mr. Roberto Fabbri, a bike enthusiast and Managing Director of BikeAsia Pte Ltd, his vision was to bring to Asia the type of shows he had the opportunity to visit in Europe. "First and foremost, in Asia we have a big market, in EICMA we have an expert organizer and in Singapore we have a great location to showcase the finest and the latest bikes and bicycles. EICMA, the organizer of the world's largest bike show in Milan with more than 500,000 visitors last year, is an equal partner of BikeAsia 2008! The Singapore Tourism Board is pleased that EICMA and Innovative Exhibition have combined efforts to stage BikeAsia 2008 in Singapore. This inaugural showing marks EICMA's first foray out of Milan and into Asia, and is in line with Singapore's strategy to attract world-class exhibitions to Singapore and develop one of its key industries, the transport and logistics engineering cluster. BikeAsia 2008 is expected to attract 30,000 visitors and judging by the track record of EICMA in staging the world's leading bicycle and motorcycle show in Milan, and the quality of the buyers and sellers that the organizers will be able to attract to Singapore, this event will definitely strengthen Singapore's exhibitions calendar, and reinforce our position as Asia's leading MICE destination, " said Mr. Shaun Goh, Director, Strategic Clusters II, Business Travel and MICE Group, Singapore Tourism Board. According to the event organizers, Singapore was selected as the locale for its superb infrastructure, strategic connectivity, dynamic business environment and cosmopolitan lifestyle offering world-class leisure experiences.
