The Marketing Point De Vente Marketing At-retail Exhibition

For its next edition, the "Marketing Point de Vente - Marketing at-Retail" (formerly Popai Europe Point of Purchase Communication Show) is taking on a new dimension. Organised by Reed Exhibitions and Popai France, this event will be held on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of April 2008. The aim of this new edition is to offer a more global and more lateral approach to Point of Sale to better meet the new challenges and concerns of Brands, Distributors and Networks. Be it Point of Sale Advertising or Information, merchandising, shop fitting, or even digital media, Marketing at-Retail represents a constantly developing and changing market.

The point of sale is a major concern for the brands and the distributors wishing to put the consumer - the " shopper " - back into the centre of marketing strategies. New aspirations in terms of innovation, information, sustainable development… must be taken on board to satisfy the consumer.

To better reflect these changes, the 2008 edition of the exhibition will be revamped and will be open to all the techniques applied at the point of sale: digital media, commercial architecture, studying consumer behaviour, shop fitting, new technologies and of course Point of Sale Advertising.

Taking place traditionally at the end of the year, the exhibition is breaking new ground by offering a venue in spring, from the 1st to the 3rd of April 2008. This follows a joint decision by POPAI France and Reed Expositions France to better meet the expectations of the market. By opting for this period, the exhibition will be an opportunity for advertisers to discover some real novelties that they can still include in their marketing and communication budget.

With an area increased in size by 15% compared to the previous edition, the entire exhibition will be stage managed, and organised around three areas of expertise Point of Sale Advertising – Information – Merchandising: Point of Sale Advertising - Information, Merchandising, Sales Promotion, commercial promotion, raw materials, sensory marketing, bags and box sets, sounds and fragrances, display packs, spotters, testers…

Layout – Commercial Architecture: Design agencies, shop fitting, window displays, corners, materials, commercial fixtures and fittings, lighting, floors, wall coverings… Digital Media: Screens, faceplates, content, advice, hardware, installation, maintenance, production, operation, software solutions…

This organisation by area of expertise will give the visitors a unique offer, covering Marketing at-Retail as a whole and giving decision makers the chance to discover, in a one stop shop, all the marketing solutions and innovations applied at the point of sale.

Strengthened by the success of the " Agora " space during the previous edition and to reinforce the interaction between all the actors in the market, the 2008 exhibition will provide a full programme of 18 conferences – combining plenary sessions on prospective topics with topical business seminars on more concrete and technical cases.

An event not to be missed, every year the Popai European Awards award a prize to the best designs in the market. The 400 materials competing will be presented, at the Marketing at Point of Sale 2008 exhibition, in a totally reorganised space to feature the savoir-faire of the competitors and let the visitors see the best innovations.
