Interpack 2008 To Feature Innovationparc Packaging

A special feature at interpack PROCESSES AND PACKAGING 2008 will be the INNOVATIONPARC PACKAGING, presenting visitors with solutions for various applications at home, in retail and in logistics in an interactive format. The focus will be on fast-moving consumer goods. interpack will take place from April 24 – 30, 2008 in Düsseldorf, Germany. A fundamental aspect of this all-encompassing concept will be the competence centers addressing topics such as sustainability (regarding packaging), convenience (functional design for B2B and B2C packaging) and consumer insights (target-group-specific packaging needs) as well as point of sale and imagination (creative possibilities in packaging production and design).

Manufacturers of folding box packaging and packaging machinery, design agencies and retailers will be positioned in a layout which will allow visitors to discuss relevant focal themes with experts from the various stages in the value chain. Renowned companies such as Metro, Smurfit Kappa Baden Karton, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, MAN Roland Druckmaschinen, Siegwerk Druckfarben and COPACO will be among the INNOVATIONPARC PACKAGING participants.

The INNOVATIONPARC PACKAGING will also introduce a store shelf optimized according to marketing principles and an age simulator, which will offer an insight into the experiences of the 70-plus target group in retail (with the help of a special suit and a pair of glasses).

Partners of the INNOVATIONPARC PACKAGING are PRO CARTON International (the European Association of Cartonboard and Carton Manufacturers), the EHI Retail Institute and the Pan-European Brand Design Association (PDA). Each of these supporting organizations will also have a booth in the INNOVATIONPARC PACKAGING.
