The Jewellery, Silverware, Watch and Related Industries Exhibition

IBERJOYA, the International Jewellery, Silverware, Watch and Related Industries Exhibition, has changed the habitual dates on which it takes place in January. Thus, the next edition of the fair will now take place between 14th and 18th February. This decision has been taken based on requests from the industry itself, effectively providing exhibitors and visiting professionals with a promotional and business forum that is more in tune with the industry's trade activities. This change of dates on the IFEMA calendar was made possible by the incorporation of additional exhibition space provided by the two new halls that formed part of Expansion Phase II at the FERIA DE MADRID exhibition centre.

Organised by IFEMA, IBERJOYA February 2008 will consolidate the fair's outstanding role as one of the key points of reference for the industry at an international level and the leading event for the jewellery industry in Spain. A total of 550 exhibitors, including the leading Spanish companies and more than one hundred international companies, will present their latest ideas and creations to an industry that is constantly evolving and renewing its range of products. The fair welcomes an average of around 22,000 professionals to each edition.

The growing status and prestige that Iberjoya enjoys on the international scene guarantees a business and promotional forum that is highly valued by both exhibitors and visitors. In this respect, we might highlight the growing level of foreign participation at the event, based on the attendance of 165 companies at the last edition from countries such as Germany, Andorra, Belgium, China, Colombia, the United Arab Emirates, France, Greece, India, Italy, Mexico, Poland, Portugal and Turkey.

This foreign dimension provides buyers with a convenient insight into the latest products and trends in the main jewellery-producing countries. Furthermore, the large attendance of buyers from abroad facilitates contacts with new markets and new clients, all within a working environment that offers optimum security guarantees. The last edition of Iberjoya recorded the attendance of some 940 professionals from 56 different countries.

In line with previous editions and with a view to promoting a fashion approach as a key competitive factor, IBERJOYA February will once again provide an ideal setting for the presentation of new designs in jewellery and time-pieces, all of which adapt perfectly to the latest and most innovative trends of the moment.

Thus, in addition to the extensive exhibition at the fair, the organisers plan to stage a spectacular Multimedia Trends Presentation, which will bring together an entire range of ideas in exclusive jewellery design, cutting-edge lines, designer jewellery and mass consumer jewellery, along with the latest new features in time-pieces and the latest trends in silverware.
