GlobalConnect Selects Integrated BroadSoft-Rodopi Solution

Rodopi Software, a provider of billing and provisioning for broadband services, and BroadSoft Inc., a provider of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) application software, announced today that Global Connect A/S, a Danish telecom provider of fiber-optics-based services in Northern Europe, has chosen a BroadSoft-Rodopi integrated solution to provide wholesale and retail VoIP services throughout Denmark and parts of Sweden and Germany.

Rodopi OSS provisions and bills GlobalConnect's offerings Hosted PBX, SIP Trunking and white-label retail VoIP all delivered on the latest version of BroadSoft's BroadWorks application platform.

GlobalConnect provides carrier-class network infrastructure solutions for the communications industry, large enterprises, government agencies and resellers. The company offers carrier-class connectivity throughout Denmark, western Sweden and northern Germany, making it the preferred alternative to the established national telecom companies in the region.

Using BroadWorks, fully managed and automated by Rodopi OSS and personalized customer portals, GlobalConnect will manage and automate its IP wholesale, SIP Trunking and Class 5 services. Global Connect will launch its new IP services for enterprise and wholesale residential users in the coming weeks

"Implementing the pre-integrated BroadSoft-Rodopi solution allows us to accelerate service rollout and minimize our investment, " said Niels Zibrandtsen, CEO of GlobalConnect. "With this solution, we can immediately automate diverse technologies at the services level and deliver communications and collaboration features for competitive differentiation in the Northern Europe telecom market."

Rodopi OSS will enable seamless provisioning and billing for GlobalConnect's BroadWorks-based services. "This project shows how Rodopi-BroadSoft integrated solutions can benefit customers, " said Todd Benjamin, president and CEO of Rodopi Software. "GlobalConnect is one of the leading operators to deliver next-generation IP solutions in Northern Europe, and Rodopi is pleased to help them grow and succeed."
