| Food & Beverage Logistics Forum How large-scale distribution moves: comparing logistic scenarios´. The topic has been chosen for the Food & Beverage Logistics Forum, the prestigious conference being held at Rimini Fiera on Monday 25th February 2008 during the traditional expo that turns the spotlight on trade members - from February 23rd to 26th - MIA, MSE and PIANETA BIRRA. The event will be staged in Neri Room 2 from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm and from 2.00 to 4.00 pm. The Forum will be dedicated to services, technologies and equipment for the supply chain management of large-scale distribution´s Food & Beverage sector. The topic was proposed by the Chairman of the Scientific Committee Donatella Rampinelli, ex-Chairman of Assologistica Cultura & Formazione, which, along with Rimini Fiera SpA, sets the guidelines of the Food & Beverage Logistics Forum. In fact, Food & Beverage Logistics Forum, at its fifth edition this year, is organized by Rimini Fiera with the sponsorship of Assologistica (Italian Association of Logistics Providers, Public and Bonded Warehouses, Cold Storage Warehouses, Port Terminals, Inland Terminals, Intermodal Terminals and Airport Terminals), and will be divided into two sessions, both with high profile speakers, as well as some of the major logistics and transport representatives from leading companies in Italy and abroad in the sector connected with food and beverage logistics. Just a few days after the decision of the topic to be covered, many particularly qualified confirmations have already arrived from invited speakers: among the most outstanding, top names with Ernest & Young, Lombardini, Sisa and Metro. ´What the scenarios and trends in modern distribution will be and, above all, the changes that should be awaited and the expectations of large brands regarding the evolution of logistics; these are the main issues we shall discuss in depth´, explains Donatella Rampinelli. ´However, these are just some of the questions to which replies will be given during the conference.´ ´The Forum´s format, following the past successes (no less than 500 delegates from important companies attended the last edition) will be re-proposed´, confirms FOOD & BEVERAGE LOGISTICS FORUM project manager Orietta Foschi, ´even if we have decided to condense all the speeches into a single day. We shall however keep the in-depth coverage and discussions separate: on one hand, successful case histories will be presented; on the other, discussions are foreseen, to analyse the challenges logistics will have to face in coming years to achieve excellent efficient results. The speech schedule has also been drawn up in such a way as to enable the logistics managers of the key players involved on the Italian market taking part in the forum to visit the expos being held simultaneously with the Forum and above all logistics sector companies: commercial vehicles, logistics companies, software, systems for frozen produce logistics, located in the various halls, due to across-the-board involvement of all the food & beverage sectors. In fact, to develop important interaction, Food & Beverage Logistics Forum is being held on the same days in which Rimini Fiera hosts an event that is characterized by the fact that it is one of the largest European export hubs on food and beverage consumption. It is hosted along with the 38th MIA International Food Show, the 7th MSE International Exposition of Mediterranean Seafood Technology and Products and the 9th PIANETA BIRRA BEVERAGE & CO. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Exhibition News :: home page |
