The 2008 Melbourne Stitches & Craft Show

It's time to pull out your craft box, dust off your work bench and sharpen your skills, the Stitches & Craft Show is arriving in Melbourne on Wednesday 12 March 2008 for five fun-filled days. The 2008 Melbourne Show will celebrate its 21st year with exciting new attractions and a tribute to the crafts of yesteryear. The 2008 Melbourne Stitches & Craft Show will feature special guest presentations, hands-on workshops and stunning fashion parades – including 100 years of haute couture fashion by Brother and innovative wearable art by Bernina.

The five day Show, 12-16 March 2008, is on at Caulfield Racecourse and will feature more than 200 exhibitors, numerous workshops and seminars and plenty to see and do. Take advantage of the experts on hand to further your own craft pursuits, and the unparalleled retail offering where you can stock up on everything including scrapbooking and papercraft; patchwork and quilting; knitting, crochet and embroidery; needlework; beading and jewellery making; and a wide range of sewing supplies.

The Melbourne Show kicks-off the 2008 Stitches & Craft Shows, with a total of three Shows scheduled for 2008. The Brisbane Stitches & Craft Show is on from 30 April to 4 May 2008 and the Sydney Stitches & Craft Show is on from 20 to 24 August 2008. So come along and be the first in the country to experience the creativity for which the Stitches & Craft Shows have earned their enviable reputation.

Of course, the Melbourne Stitches & Craft Show still has plenty of crowd favourites including the Australian Quilt Show, boasting the largest prize pool for award winning quilts and showcasing the high standard of quilting excellence in Australia. Another feature will be relatively new exhibit, theAustralian Bead Show, which will present the Australian Designer of the Year competition, showcasing hundreds of dazzling beading entries across nine categories.
