| Paperworld: Trends, Awards Ceremonies an Business Year 2008 New ideas, tips for decorating product presentations and current trends in the sector – visitors to Paperworld, the international trade fair for paper, office supplies and stationery, will be able to see more than just the latest products. Dealers from all over the world can look forward to a variety of visionary trend areas, exciting trade and information events, awards ceremonies and exhibitions. Together, they make visiting Paperworld a must for the international sector and represent a cornucopia of inspiration that helps the trade to position itself optimally. The first place to go when looking for product trends and ideas for product presentations is the Paperworld Trend Show in Hall 6.1. There, style studio bora.herke from Frankfurt / Berlin will show the colours, shapes and materials likely to be 'in' during the coming season. The basis for the Trend Show is the trend forecasts of international designer and trend expert Gunnar Frank who has defined three styles for the trends in 2008 / 2009: 'Masculine', 'Feminine' and 'Kiddy'. In daily guided tours of the Paperworld Trend Show, experts from Lobster Concepts, The Netherlands, will give detailed insights into the trends of the coming business season. The meeting place for the tours, which start at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., is the Trend Show in Hall 6.1 (stand C90). Trends especially for the creative sector are to be seen at the 'Creative Trends – Creativity meets design' special show, which is also the work of stylists bora.herke. In Hall 4.2, they demonstrate in a vivid and interactive way how avant-garde design, the latest trends and a variety of creative techniques can be combined with each other. Thus, they also show how to interest new target groups in the subject of hobbies and arts & crafts. Visitors can try out the various creative techniques at special tables within the trend area. Greetings cards and how to present them is the subject of a new special show in the Foyer of Hall 5.1/6.1, which is being organised in cooperation with the Working Group of Greetings Cards Manufacturers and Publishers (Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Hersteller und Verleger für Glückwunschkarten – AVG) and provides practical information and tips for compiling optimum assortments of greetings cards in retail shops. A special presentation in Hall 5.1 will show how greetings cards can cut a good figure in the specialist trade. Under the motto 'Wonderfully changeable' card wholesalers Modern Times GmbH and Taurus-Kunstkarten GmbH will present new forms of display for greetings cards. In the 'Card Trend Shop', they put the focus on a flexible product display that enables dealers to present products of different forms in a varied and thematically interesting way. Visitors searching for designers for future products or simply wanting to draw inspiration from their wealth of imaginative ideas have good chances of finding what they want at FILU – the Artists and Photographers' Archive – in Hall 5.1. Here, they will find examples of the work of more than 500 illustrators, book artists, graphic artists and photographers. At the Action Cubes in Hall 3.1, artists from various segments of the paper, office supplies and stationery sector present their particular skills and, on request, will create examples of calligraphy or origami for visitors. As well, the popular Walk of Fame with over-sized products will make the Boulevards in Hall 3 particularly inspiring. At the area of the Federal Office Supplies Association (Bundesverband Bürowirtschaft e.V. - BBW) in Hall 3.1, the specialist trade can find out about the new stationery logo, which may only be used by dealers who meet strict qualitative criteria with regard to assortment and advice and have been approved by the BBW. write your comments about the article :: © 2008 Exhibition News :: home page |
