Telepresence World 2008 London

Telepresence World Conference Organizer Hemisphere Expo Services, Inc, has announced plans for the next Telepresence World Conference event that will showcase the latest high-tech alternatives to traveling for face-to-face meetings. Telepresence World 2008 London will take place March 18-19, 2008, at the internationally acclaimed ExCel London Exhibition and Conference Centre in the UK's capital city.

Due to the increasing recognition that telepresence can enable collaboration while reducing the carbon footprint and costs associated with corporate travel, Barounos expects turnout for the London event to be in excess of over 700 delegates. To allow greater participation in UK, the venue for Telepresence World 2008 London was recently moved to the spectacular ExCel Exhibition and Conference Centre located near the London City Airport and Canary Wharf.

The stunning waterfront setting includes a variety of hotels, restaurants, and pubs and is adjacent to the Royal Victoria Dock, which was originally established by Prince Albert in 1855. Since opening in 2000, ExCeL London has hosted more than 1,700 events. Notes Barounos, "the expanded facilities and centralized location of the ExCel will greatly enhance the conference experience for attendees, speakers, and exhibitors alike, and it will allow us to present some very exciting sessions involving high-profile participants."

Telepresence World 2008 London will encompass two days of plenary sessions, panel discussions, case studies, roundtables, exhibits, and telepresence demonstrations focusing on real-world applications of telepresence. Frost & Sullivan, a world renowned corporate analyst firm, has partnered with Telepresence World to provide market leadership, perspective, and insight.

Global Telecom leaders Teliris—recent winner of the Frost & Sullivan 2007 Market Leadership Award in the Telepresence Industry; Cisco—the premiere provider of cutting edge technologies designed to transform how people connect, communicate, and collaborate; and Hewlett-Packard—who recently teamed up with TANDBERG to provide a solution that links their Halo Collaboration Studio to other standards-based videoconferencing systems have signed on as Diamond Sponsors for the conference. As such, they will play integral roles in supporting the event and shaping the future role of telepresence in business, academic, and research endeavors.

Network sponsorship for Telepresence World 2008 London will be provided by Masergy Communications. Organizational supporters include the Interactive Media & Collaborative Communications Alliance (IMCCA) and the International Society of Presence Research (ISPR). Audio Visual Magazine, AV News, Business Trends Quarterly, Connect World, Education Business, European CEO, Future Healthcare, Future Pharmaceuticals, Government Technology, Health Business, New Media Age, and Total Telecom are among a growing listing of media sponsors who have signed on to promote the event.
