CPhI India 2007

CPhI India and the introduction of the contract services show ICSE India will be held in the Bombay Exhibition Centre's Halls 5 and 6 on 25 - 27 November, with the debut on P-MEC India in Hall 1, starting one day earlier and running 24 - 27 November.

Launches for the Pharmaceutical Machinery & Equipment Convention (P-MEC India) and International Contract Services Exhibition (ICSE India) will ensure that production technology and outsourcing have key platforms next to the ingredients and API focus of CPhI India.

Together, CPhI, P-MEC and ICSE will provide complete coverage of all main pharma services sectors, and deliver high-value networking and business opportunities across a single, highly convenient business event platform!

Pharma machinery, equipment and technologies have become critical to meet the cost, regulatory and environmental challenges in making ever more complex healthcare products. And outsourcing, via contract R&D and manufacturing, has leapt from niche specialism to one of the key drivers in the global pharma production model.

At P-MEC India, visitors will typically find pharma machinery, plant/facility equipment, instrumentation, filtration systems, automation and packaging. P-MEC's focus for the buyers and specifiers in these sectors has clearly been welcomed by the market. This year's P-MEC Europe in Milan will be more than double the size of the 2006 staging in Paris.

India's pharma industry organisations are playing key roles in the three shows in Mumbai, with Pharmexcil, the Government of India's Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council being a key partner.

CPhI India/ICSE India also have the valuable support of the IDMA (Indian Drug Manufacturers Association); OPPI (Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India) and the IPA (Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance). P-MEC India is officially supported by the IPMMA – the Indian Pharmaceutical Machinery Manufacturers Association. Many of the IPMMA's 200 member companies will be represented at the exhibition.

In combination, the three exhibitions in India are expected to host well over 600 exhibitors, presenting on a 20,000 sq. m. showfloor. CPhI, ICSE and P-MEC India are jointly organised by CMPi and its regional sister company CMP India.

Continuing a focus on major developing markets, organisers CMPi have also recently announced the addition to their ingredients and pharma services events of new exhibitions in South America, starting in mid-2008.

April next year sees the debut of P-MEC Japan, alongside CPhI Japan. August will then mark the joint introductions of CPhI and P-MEC to the fast developing markets of South America. CPhI South America and P-MEC South America will debut at the brand new "Cidade Nova" Convention Center in Rio de Janeiro on Tuesday 19 – Thursday 21 August 2008.
