| Gluten Free Food & Allergy Show This year's Gluten Free Food & Allergy Show is the largest event of its kind in the southern hemisphere. On from Saturday 17th November to Sunday 18th November 2007 at the Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre, the Expo will provide individuals and families with a road map to healthier living by showcasing the very latest in gluten free and allergy free foods, home products and information and education from Australasia's pre-eminent specialists. This year, the show will boast more than 140 companies and brands under one roof, to create a one stop shop for products and advice. Now in its third year, the event is expected to draw more than 10,000 consumers ready to stock up on the healthiest gluten free and allergy friendly foods for Christmas. Those wishing to allergy proof the home are also in for a treat, with more than 40 companies offering the very latest advice and products to create a greener, cleaner home. There are well over 8 million Australians affected by allergies and hypersensitivities - that's approximately 40% of the population who live with allergies, food intolerances, sensitive skin, eczema, asthma, hay fever, coeliac disease and other conditions. We also have a strong interest from consumers just wanting a healthier lifestyle and this segment is growing rapidly. Gluten Free products are now on the rise in Australia, as are the very allergies creating this demand. It is expected that this market will triple in the next three years, with an estimated 200,000 people living with Coeliac, and the majority of them undiagnosed. The Gluten Free Diet is not only for Coeliacs, but also has strong associations with ADD, ADHD, Irritable Bowel, Diabetes and more recently autism. Come and speak with the professionals and listen to them in our seminar rooms that are conducted all weekend. Interactive, educational and informative activities that are taking place at the event include Free information seminars, Cooking Demonstrations, Presentation by Professor Kerryn Phelps, Food tasting of wheat-free, gluten-free, dairy-free and nut-free foods, Free skin consultations, Sampling of organic and hypoallergenic cosmetics and skincare products, Advice from qualified dietitians, Meet with allergy testing professionals, Complimentary 'Miracle Manicures' by Beauty spells. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
