| Marintec China 2007 The definitive maritime conference and exhibition in Asia – Marintec China will be held in November 2007. The organiser, CMP, announces 17 national and regional pavilions, including new Singapore and HKSAR Pavilions exhibiting for the first time. As well as over 1,000 exhibiting companies from international corporations or their subsidiaries will be participating in the forthcoming Marintec China 2007. The show will be the biggest ever covering 3 Halls of the SNIEC Pudong Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre, the total floor area will exceed 34,500 square metres. China's shipbuilding industry is continuing to grow rapidly. According to data for February from the market-specific shipbuilding research organisation Clarkson Research Studies, based on the order volume in January 2007, China is No.1 for the first time, replacing Korea. From the figures, China's total order volume was 1.4M CGT (compensated gross tonnage) in January, which that of Korea and Japan were 600,000 and 300,000 CGT respectively for the same period. It indicates how fast the growth of the China shipbuilding industry is. As a major marketing force for the growing maritime industry in Asia, Marintec China has received full support and endorsement from China's senior government officials, major trade associations and leading organisations in both the domestic and foreign maritime industries for many years, and this contributes significantly in building up Marintec China as the most forward-looking maritime event in Asia, as well as being the perfect platform for the exchange of the latest technological advances and developments from around the world. This also boosts China's efforts to take a great leap forward in its goal – to be the world's largest shipbuilding country by the year 2015. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
