| World Food Market Proving that the UK is becoming a global hub for international cuisine, World Food Market returns to London ExCeL for the third year running on November 21st and 22nd with more floor space and more exhibitors guaranteed. Featuring over 250 exhibitors from more than 20 different countries – a substantial increase on last year – World Food Market covers the entire scope of ethnic and world speciality foods from Oriental, Eastern European and Afro-Caribbean to Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisines. In addition, it remains the only trade fair to have a dedicated focus on community foods, most notably Halal and Kosher varieties. The show brings together specialist manufacturers and suppliers from across the globe together with a powerful audience of buyers; including independent and multiple retailers, the profit and cost sectors of foodservice, as well as wholesalers, importers and major players from the distribution channel. Consumer demand for ethnic foods has seen steady and sustained growth for many years now. Nowhere is this clearer than in the European market, which has continued to see high growth levels, in many instances outpacing the overall food and drinks market1. Consumer tastes are becoming more cosmopolitan, leading to a rise in demand for both the quantity and variety of ethnic cuisines on offer. Visitors will also have access to a wealth of free information and expertise through a dedicated two-day seminar programme, featuring a host of industry leaders and category experts, and thousands of pounds worth of free content. Comprising interactive panel discussions, workshops and keynote presentations, the programme will address the key issues affecting the burgeoning ethnic food market. Exhibitors already signed up include BHJ UK Food who will be launching a brand new range of pork spareribs, SOP International with a wide range of edible oils, pickles, chutneys and pastes, and Ming Foods who will be exhibiting an extensive range of Chinese pancakes and pastries. CME Germany, Indonesian Embassy, Sri Lankan Embassy and Vietnamese Embassy will also all have pavilions. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
