| The Hotel and Restaurant Equipment Show, Horeq-07 The Hotel and Restaurant Equipment Show, HOREQ-07, which is due to take place at Feria de Madrid between 24th and 27th November next, will provide the ideal setting for the presentation of the most important new features within the hotel and catering industry, products designed to enhance competitiveness, productivity and leadership at companies within the sector. The hotel and catering trade makes up an extremely important sector in Spain. In fact, Spain has the largest number of establishments throughout the whole of Europe, numbering some 640,000 in total. All of these establishments (bars, cafeterias, hotels, restaurants, etc.) need good equipment in order to be able to offer high-quality services to their guests. One of the most interesting new features that visitors will have an opportunity to discover during the fair, given that it is being presented in Spain for the first time, consists of the air-conditioning system for wine cellars produced by the company, ADOLFO ESTEBAN. This new air-conditioning model is based on cold generation and a series of variable-speed ventilators. Thanks to this technology, it not only ensures an optimum temperature for wine, but also significantly reduces noise levels, without leading to any loss of humidity and whilst reducing costs and energy consumption. Preservation of the environment has become a priority today among many companies, and many enterprises now incorporate environmental preservation policies into their products. This is certainly true in the case of ITV ICE MAKERS, which has set up a ´Renewal Scheme´ for replacing old equipment with the latest models, including machines that produce ice, both in cubes and in flakes or chips. Its machines known as Quasar, for example, do not require the use of injectors or pumps, which means they are not affected by the problem of water impurity and do not require filters. Ice, in addition to preserving and cooling foodstuffs, can also play an important role in terms of the presentation of the meals offered by hotels and restaurants. TECNIMEL will present a new way of drinking at HOREQ ´07 thanks to its new ice-glasses known as Icydrink. These glasses are made entirely of ice and can be used to serve all kinds of cocktails, aperitifs and drinks, offering an original and different sensation that is not only pleasant but also has a strong visual impact on guests. The ice is conical in design and is presented in glasses specially designed for this purpose. Other types of trays, in this case designed specially for mini-bars, will be placed on show by BARTEC H, the company that markets them. These courtesy trays, known as CourtesyX TM, are electronic and are placed inside the mini-bar, detecting and monitoring any item that is placed on them, irrespective of their weight and size. These trays are connected to the hotel computers and provide information in real time, so that when a guest checks out, it will warn him of anything he may have left behind (such as medicines, dummies, etc.), whilst also providing a system of easy and effective management to hotel owners. Furthermore, TES, the company representing JTECH in Spain, will present Service Call, among other electronic systems. With this technology, guests are able to make calls to members of the serving staff simply by pressing a button. With this system, the restaurant serving staff receive a vibrating signal that, in addition to indicating the origin of the call, also shows the table-number, which means that they can attend to guests as soon as possible. What is more, thanks to Servalert, the kitchen head can silently inform waiters when the dishes for each of the tables is ready, thanks to a vibration alert system incorporated into belts warn by the serving staff. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
