| Ecomondo 2007 Ecomondo is increasingly a leader. In fact, the 11th edition of the international trade fair of material & energy recovery and sustainable development, being held at Rimini Fiera from 7th to 10th November 2007, will have the support of all the environment sector´s major organizations. The expo area, of about 70,000 m2, will host hundreds of companies involved in the sector and will have two more halls. The Minister for the Environment, Rt. Hon. Alfonso Pecoraro Scanio is awaited at the inauguration After the ´blue frog´, this year the ´red swallow´ will communicate a message of greater environmental awareness. The red swallow is now a very rare species, in Italy only nests in the Elba archipelago and is on the list of vertebrates risking extinction. The swallow is a precious environmental indicator, as it is very sensitive to phenomena of atmospheric deterioration, climatic changes and technological variation in food crops. Ecomondo 2007 launches the first edition of Just Rubber, the event dedicated to rubber recycled from tyres. Organized in collaboration with ARGO and ETRA, it will also be the opportunity for presenting the project entitled The Rubber Tree, which aims at promoting raw materials and products obtained from the recycling of rubber from worn-out tyres. The event will also be the opportunity for technological transfer, contacts between companies, meetings with foreign delegations in order to develop significant commercial outlets and establish a network of relations for increasing growth strategies of the sector at political, research and business level. With a view to promoting and spreading the culture of recycling worn-out tyres and favouring the recognition of the chain´s key players, the ARGO consortium has also designed the brand ´The Rubber Tree - 100% recycled rubber´, which distinguishes the raw material obtained from recycling worn-out tyres. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
