| The Carbon Forum Asia 2007 trade fair and conference The Carbon Forum Asia Trade Fair and Conference, jointly organized by the International Emissions Trading Association and Koelnmesse, will be held in Singapore from 6 - 7 November 2007 at the Suntec International Convention and Exhibition Centre. This major platform for climate change is associated to Carbon Expo, Cologne, the world's global Trade Fair and Conference for emissions trading and carbon abatement solutions. Carbon Forum Asia 2007 is hosted by the Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore. IETA and Koelnmesse have found strong reasons to locate Carbon Forum Asia 2007 in Singapore. Singapore is fast-developing into a CDM trading hub for the Asian markets, including India, China, Southeast Asia and Australia. It is also strategically located within Asia, where interest in the environment is increasingly growing. According to the World Bank "State and Trends of the Carbon Market 2007 Report", Asian countries accounted for 80% of total volumes on the supply side in the global CDM market in 2006, reaching a value of US$3.85 million. Carbon Forum Asia 2007 follows on the resoundingly successful CARBON EXPO ASIA 2006 in Beijing. The Beijing event saw over 1, 062 participants from 44 countries, and exhibitors from 108 companies from 20 countries. Admission tickets for the event were sold out way before the event, and 100% of the exhibitors that participated in an evaluation survey stated that they intended to return to the event this year. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
