| TOC Americas Conference & Exhibition TOC Events Worldwide is delighted to confirm a number of additional port and maritime industry executives to speak at the upcoming seventh TOC Americas Conference & Exhibition, taking place 6-8 November 2007 in Panama. Mahmoud Ahmed El-Sayed Marei, General Manager Economic Studies for Suez Canal Authority, will speak on the opening morning of the conference, reviewing the Suez Canal's current and future role in serving the Americas. He joins Rodolfo Sabonge, Vice President Research for Panama Canal Authority, who will be discussing the Panama Canal expansion project and ramifications for the global and regional maritime industry. Three additional industry executives are also joining the conference to address operations and technology issues. Thomas Armstrong, Director of Information Technology for Georgia Ports Authority and Eduardo Bustamente, Director of Systems and Telecommunications for Colombian terminal operator Sociedad Portuaria Regional de Cartagena (SPRC) will speak in an afternoon panel addressing New Perspectives on Container Terminal Operations and Automation, taking place Wednesday 7 November. Page Siplon, Executive Director of the Georgia-based Maritime Logistics Innovation Center, joins the conference on the morning of Thursday 8 November as part of a discussion group on Supply Chain Visibility, Security and Integration.
