| Host. International Exhibition of the Hospitality Industry  Expo CTS and the Italian Ministry for the Environment invite operators from the hotel and hospitality sectors, together with their clients, to the Nemo Next Hotel, an exhibition-event on hospitality in the future, at Fiera Milano between 19 and 23 October 2007, as part of Host, the international trade fair on professional hospitality. A 1, 200-metre space designed by Nemolab will be the showcase for initiatives on a hospitality industry characterised by low carbon emissions and high levels of environmental comfort. Hospitality becomes eco-efficient and luxury becomes sustainable.Stairs in the place of elevators and designed as a fitness workout; green fidelity cards rewarding the good client for low carbon emission levels during a holiday; "zero kilometre" menus: the Eco2Hotel of the future, conceived by Nemolab, the cultural laboratory exploring consumer trends, has never been so real. Responsible tourism, loving luxury and the good life but preferring them not to impact negatively on the health of the planet, is becoming a respectable industry in nations such as Great Britain, where 90% of consumers favour ecocompatible hotel complexes and 54% even favour solutions that enable the guest to reduce Co2 emissions during a holiday. Nemo Next Hotel is a Nemolab concept, and is sponsored by the Italian Ministry for the Environment with the collaboration of Expo CTS, the organisers of the Host trade fair in Fiera Milano, and a group of expert partners. It is a showcase for installations telling the story of green hospitality of the future. Through a themed itinerary, the aim is to propose, to operators in the hotel and hospitality sector, a series of initiatives in tune with policies on reduction of carbon dioxide emissions (the main cause of the greenhouse effect) outlined in the by now well-known Kyoto Protocol: on the one hand, technology and materials for a noticeable reduction in carbon produced and released into the atmosphere, and on the other, good habits with areas to experiment green comfort and sustainable luxury. The Nemo Next Hotel area will host the official inauguration of the Host trade fair event and the opening conference organised by the Italian Ministry for the Environment and Expo CTS and Fiera Milano in collaboration with Federalberghi-Confturismo.
