| International Exhibition for the Construction Industry - CONCRETA 2007 will be a turning point for the International Exhibition for the Construction Industry. Over the last five years, it welcomed a total of 425 339 visitors, in an annual average of 85 067 in each edition. From now on, and starting with its 23rd edition which will take place at EXPONOR between the 23rd and 27th of October this year, the exhibition will be biennial. 2007 will be marked by a change in the strategic path of CONCRETA. The 23rd edition of this exhibition will reflect a change in its traditional concept, marked by a restructuring process aimed at specific sub-sectors of the industry. In other words, "CONCRETA" will still take place annually, at EXPONOR (in Leça da Palmeira, Matosinhos) but, each year, it will focus on different target-segments in the construction and public works sectors. By emphasising this new strategic direction of the exhibition, shared by the main sectors it represents, the Portuguese Association of Paint and Varnish Manufacturers (APFTV) and the National Association of Hirers of Industrial Equipments (ANAGREI) were the first bodies to join forces with EXPONOR, in order to promote, publicise, advise and increase business levels in the activity areas covered. But the paint and varnish and industrial machines and equipments niches represent the launch of a dynamic initiative which, through cooperation protocols, will encompass the cement and mortars, acclimatisation, ceramic coatings, bathroom ceramics, woods and derivatives, kitchen and tap areas. According to the institutionally ratified agreement, EXPONOR will be responsible for promoting, biennially, in 2007, 2009 and 2011, the organisation of exhibitions which demonstrate the capacities and potential of the paints and varnishes and industrial machines and equipment trade and industry sub-sectors, aimed particularly at the development and modernisation of national industry, the promotion of the export activities of these sub-sectors, as well as the spread of technological innovations and technology transfer. Among other initiatives, and within the scope of the protocol, EXPONOR will be responsible for promoting the sale of the available exhibition space, through suitable marketing, publicising and specific information actions, as well as for establishing the required contacts with different national and international bodies to help publicise the events. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
