| The Traditional Building Exhibition and Conference Traditional Building Exhibition and Conference will be held on October 16-20, 2007 in New Orleans. The Traditional Building Exhibition and Conference is the only national trade show and conference for historic home owners, architects, designers, contractors and developers, planners, building owners and craftsmen involved in historic restoration, renovation, and traditionally-inspired new design and construction. This year's event will showcase more than 200 exhibitors of hard-to-find products and services for those who are rebuilding and restoring their homes with products to maintain the architectural and cultural history of New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. Katrina and Rita destroyed more than 200, 000 homes and 18, 000 commercial and public buildings in Louisiana, and countless more along the Gulf Coast. But through the resolve of citizens, leadership from the Louisiana Recovery Authority (LRA) and billions of dollars in funding, the region is poised to come back stronger than ever. Lessons learned in the wake of Katrina and Rita need to be shared with professionals and owners who are rebuilding the entire Gulf Region and as well with those at work throughout the nation. Thousands of architects, designers, contractors, developers, planners, building owners, and home owners will be able to choose from over 70+ educational seminars and workshops covering a wide array of topics and product segments, including window and sash repair, door and hardware installation, plaster repair, roofing, siding, ornamental ironwork and paint selection. Traditional building techniques, how-to information and old world craftsmanship will come to life in the Live Demonstration areas throughout the exhibit hall. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
