| I Saloni WorldWide Nearly three years on, I Saloni WorldWide has now become an established point of reference in the exhibition arena of Made in Italy abroad. After last May's success in New York, it is now time for the Saloni WorldWide Moscow, which will be held in the Russian capital from 10th to 13th October next, at the Crocus Center. From one huge success to another of which we have the highest hopes. Brainchild of a group of long-standing exhibitors at the Saloni in Milan and Cosmit, I Saloni WorldWide – Furnishing Ideas Made in Italy made its debuts first in New York and then in Moscow, and has become a showcase for quality and a meeting point for designers, architects and trendsetters. From Wednesday 10th to Saturday 13th October 2007 – and, as always, in Pavilion 2 at the Crocus Expo, Russia's exhibition centre, the serried ranks of approximately 400 companies will set up their stands on over 19, 000 net square metres of exhibition space. A foregone success, therefore, given that this edition will not only be 30% larger than the last one which opened its doors to a total of 309 exhibitors, but over 100% greater than the first ever, in which 180 took part. The event is thus now in its prime, unequivocally confirmed as a Sistema-fair that responds fully to the latest business demands and the state-of-the-art international promotion strategies that this entails. I Saloni WorldWide will showcase a huge selection of designs from the top Italian furnishing companies, ranging from classic pieces to modern conceptions and truly avantgarde designs. The new layout, spread over two floors, has recreated a sort of micro-salon, with the Classic section in Halls 10 and 11, with 167 exhibitors confirmed to date, and the Design/Modern section in Halls 5, 7 and 8 with 226 exhibitors to date, not to mention the international press presence. Altogether, the two sections present an outstanding spectrum of home furnishings: furnishings, upholstered furniture, lighting appliances, kitchens, office furniture, furnishing accessories, bathroom furniture and fittings and textiles. This year again sees the return of SaloneSatellite Moscow, a mine of young Russian creativity, which will be set up at the intersection between Exhibition Halls 5, 7 and 8. The third edition of I Saloni WorldWide New York – Furnishing Ideas Made in Italy, which closed on 22nd May last, has also earned its rightful place in the long list of Cosmit / Federlegno-Arredo successes, confirming without a shadow of doubt that the North American market's interest in contemporary design continues to escalate, despite the advance of the emerging Countries. This success can be ascribed to several factors. First of all, the participating companies' recognition of the value of team spirit, which enabled them to take the American market by collective storm, with their readily identifiable and instantly recognisable montage and graphics, ensuring that the exclusivity of Italian design really stood out. Second, the superlative quality of the goods on offer from 42 of the top exhibitors in the sector, who showcased the cream of Italian furniture, furnishing accessories, kitchens and lighting appliances. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
