| Sign 2007-International Visual Communication Industry Exhibition The International Show for the Visual Communications Industry – held on an annual basis in Spain's capital city – will share the same image as its sister shows organised by Reed Exhibitions in Europe. The 20th edition of Viscom/Sign España will be held at Feria de Madrid (Ifema) October 18 and 20, 2007. Set to coincide with the 20th anniversary of its inaugural show, Sign España will undergo a name change and adopt a new logo, and will henceforth be known as Viscom España. The changes will be implemented across Europe, as the event organizer has developed this new image in conjunction with its four other annual specialized shows held in France, Germany and Italy, in addition to the Spanish show. This means that all the events will share a fully standardized corporate identity, representing a single, pan-European platform for the visual communications market. The goal of the organization behind the show, Reed Exhibitions, has been to unify the five visual communications trade fairs that it holds on an annual basis in four European countries under a single corporate image. Thanks to this non-stop effort, the shows bring together 11, 000 exhibitors and 52, 000 visitors from all over the world. And in an aim to bolster its leadership in this fast-advancing market, the new Viscom logo – a contraction of the words 'visual' and 'communication' – synthesizes both clearly and concisely the dynamic world in which all these specialist-geared shows operate. Among the values taken into account in creating the Viscom brand, the most noteworthy are 'leadership' and 'expertise'. Both aspects have played key roles, making it possible to style the Viscom brand with an image which is at once contemporary, high-impact, straightforward, powerful and dynamic. Short and catchy, Viscom is a name that is easy to remember. Incorporating the first letters of 'visual' and 'communication', that is, 'v' and 'c', the logotype's arrow points to the direction to be followed. Viscom is a big step forward, a move towards the future, featuring more innovation, more technology and more business. What's more, the new brand makes it possible for the Viscom/Sign España show to position itself in the market from another angle, revealing all the advantages that come with being part of an international event – one in which all participants benefit from the many synergies that stem from the complementary nature of the various shows. In Spain, the new Viscom corporate logo will be gradually introduced over a two-year period, co-existing with the Sign concept at first. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
