| Metalcon International Conference and Exhibition Metalcon International Conference and Exhibition - the only resource offering all the products and ideas for designing and building with metal. This 17th annual international event will be held at Las Vegas Convention Center from Wed., Oct 3 through Fri., Oct 5, 2007. Metalcon includes exhibits of all products needed to build structures with metal, a comprehensive education program and live-action demonstrations of the latest techniques for roofing, architectural and structural applications of metal – long recognized as a green material for its high durability, recycled content and the ability to be fully recycled. More than 700 booths filled with a selection of the latest building products and services for those who design and build with metal – or want to learn all about metal. A dedicated exhibit area called Green Island features metal-related products that meet green building standards for recycled content, recyclability, durability, and energy efficiency. A comprehensive education program covers every aspect of building with metal from the basics to the latest materials, tools, techniques, building codes and business and project management. Other programs focus on framing with cold-formed steel and green building. MCA Council members produce daily live-action demonstrations of field techniques presented by recognized industry experts. A full-size steel-framed home built inside the exhibit hall in 2.5 days shows the benefits of steel framing.
