China Trade Fair for Household Products and Accessories

The debut "Interior Lifestyle China" opens its doors next week at the Shanghai Exhibition Centre. Running for four days, 13 – 16 September, the show will house a vast array of high-quality and luxury household and consumer items from all over the world. Around 180 exhibitors are confirmed, including companies from Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Portugal, Spain, Taiwan and Thailand. Interior Lifestyle China will be the first fair of its kind, establishing a high-class marketing and sourcing platform for international brand names in the China market.

The fair will be divided into three areas: Dining, Giving, and Living. In the 'dining' area, visitors will find glass, porcelain, ceramics, cutlery, kitchen tools and appliances, and other dining and cooking-related products. 'Giving' will house products such as arts and crafts, candles and other gift items. Furniture, accessories, and soft furnishings will make up the 'living' section of the fair.

International Interior Designer Forum – The forum will bring together interior design specialists from Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Taiwan to present popular trends and new concepts in interior design and household products. Free-of-charge to all visitors, presented in English and Chinese. Daily, 13 – 15 September.

China Houseware Industry Conference – A seminar and discussion forum to explore the interior products industry, and the differences between doing business locally and internationally. Predominantly targeted towards Chinese retailers and wholesalers. Free-of-charge to all visitors, presented in Chinese. 13 September.

Art-to-Business: Conference for the First Generation of Chinese Interior Designers – Successful Chinese interior designers, including Ms Hong Yani of Shenzhen Holf Interior Design, Mr. Liu Weijun of Pinkli Liu Weijun Interior, and Ms. Wang Fegbo of Beijing Galaxy Interiors, will present case studies highlighting their work and offer examples of their approaches to interior design. Free-of-charge to all visitors, presented in Chinese. 14 September.

Designers Competition – Around 100 Chinese interior and home designers will submit their ideas for interior furnishings and lifestyle products for a modern Chinese home in the Designers Competition sponsored by "Home Decoration" magazine. The competition will be judged by a panel of five experts, including chief editors from top-level lifestyle magazines and representatives from the Architectural Society of China. Winning entries will be displayed at Interior Lifestyle China 2007.

Young Designers Gallery – The Gallery will showcase products from up-and-coming young designers from across China. This concept has been developed to give better exposure to young designers looking to create working partnerships with product manufacturers and suppliers from all over the world. Visitors will be able to see first-hand the creative direction of China's young talents.

Contemporary Chinese Lifestyle Trends – "Trends Home" magazine, one of China's leading interior trend authorities, will present trends in modern Chinese interiors and lifestyles. Ming and Qing Lifestyle Presentation – A showcase of antique Ming and Qing Dynasty-style furniture, sponsored by "Home Decoration" magazine. A reflection of old Chinese lifestyle trends from famous periods in history.
