| Trade Fair For Electronic Information and Document Management ![]() Experts and users from various areas within the public sector are invited to speak at the event. They will report on their experiences and knowledge gained in introducing and operating electronic document management systems, give valuable practical tips, discuss legal issues and will answer questions. During the practical day, participants will also have the opportunity to obtain information on the functions and performance of various document management and enterprise content management systems at the DMS EXPO trade fair. Following the successful debut of the DMS practical day for the public sector at DMS 2006, specialist visitors will be able to find out information on suitable solutions for the electronic processing of documents, their administration and archiving once again this year. The practical day is divided into two parts: first on the agenda are speeches on contemporary topics. The speakers include Elisabeth Slapio, Managing Director of business support, trade, information and communications technology at the Cologne Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who will be talking about the future of local authorities and business with transparent DMS solutions. In his key-note speech "What next for e-Government?", Prof. Klaus Lenk, emeritus for administrative sciences at Oldenburg University, will give guidelines for successful implementation. The second part of the day will focus on practical afternoon presentations by various DMS users: their experiences with electronic case processing at the city offices of Cologne are likely to be exciting and informative, as are the construction of the digital press and image archive created by the district of Birkenfeld and the introduction of digital post processing at the city offices of Stuttgart. A podium discussion, which will also give participants the opportunity to ask the speakers questions, will round off the DMS practical day. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
