The creation of an efficient supply chain gains more and more importance as outsourcing is increasing with the major aircraft manufacturers due to the necessity of innovation, cost reduction, increase in efficiency and, amongst others, the current development of Airbus. Cooperation and networking obtain increasingly in signification as possible strategies and instruments of successful suppliers. Contrary to airshows, AIRTEC is specialised in the entire aerospace supply chain from engineering to production, components and systems to the point of lifecycle support and the focus of AIRTEC is on the suppliers. From October 23-26, 2007 AIRTEC extends its profile as an aerospace supply fair at the exhibition center Frankfurt / Main.

This year's novelty is the military sector at the fair due to the fact that numerous suppliers not only supply for the civil sector but for the military sector as well. The organizer, airtec GmbH & Co. KG has particularly specialized itself n the UAV market. Therewith the trade fair gives consideration to the increasing importance of unmanned systems at the military sector and in the future to the civil sector as well. For the first time the special feature show UAV World takes place and is presented in a specially designed "UAV arena".

The combination of exhibition, conferences and flying competition at a concentrated area creates a central meeting place for the growing market UAV. Among experts the fair draws great attention and response. The concept of presentation and conception of UAV World is unique in Europe. Therewith airtec GmbH & Co. KG demonstrates once again its ability to recognize new trends in advance and to be one step ahead with its innovative and future-oriented subjects.

350 exhibitors from 20 countries registered for AIRTEC 2007 already, among them exhibitors from Finland, Greece, Israel, Mexico and Romania for the first time. Important companies from Spain and Italy with the sectors components and systems, materials, electronics and engineering as well as associations like the Italian aerospace industry AIAD and a corporate stand from Madrid were gained.

For the first time the Federal State North Rhine-Westphalia will participate with a corporate stand at AIRTEC, organized by the Ministry of Economy, SMEs and Energy of North Rhine- Westphalia. Suppliers from all sectors of aerospace will exhibit at the biggest domestic corporate stand. Trade visitors from the USA are expected for the first-time. The organizer airtec GmbH & Co. KG especially established a representation in China, therefore AIRTEC 2007 expects Chinese delegations.

One highlight of AIRTEC 2007 is the UAV World with its exhibition, conference and a flight competition. Exhibitors of UAV World Arena are manufacturers of unmanned flying systems, companies of the supply and manufacturing industry from Germany and abroad, as well as international universities and scientific Institutions. Therefore the German Federal Office of Defence Technology and Procurement will exhibit at this special feature show and presents application errors and exhibits like the system LUNA, Aladin, EuroHawk Model and education sensor technology.

Furthermore a flight competition themed "Ground-level Surveillance in urban terrain" will be carried out at the obstacle course in the center of the UAV World Arena on Thursday, October 25, 2007. Along with a get-together the award ceremony will take place on Thursday afternoon The competition is supported by the business development of Frankfurt / Main.
