| Cleaning. Management. Services - Trade Fair and Congress The cleaning sector is also benefiting from the upturn in the economy. The Cologne-based economic research organisation Institut der deutschen Wirtschaft believes that there are excellent prospects for future growth in the services provided for companies, such as building cleaning. The situation in the cleaning machinery industry is characterised by improved sales, clear signs of domestic expansion and increased exports. The manufacturers of chemical cleaning products are also expecting an upturn in business in 2007, and all these factors will also be evident at CMS 2007 – Cleaning.Management.Services., which is taking place on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from 18 to 21 September. The main trade show of the year in Europe for cleaning systems, building management and services is just four months away and already bookings are at their highest level yet for this event, which takes place every two years. More than 300 exhibitors from over 20 countries will be presenting an up to date review of products, systems and processes from the entire field of cleaning technology. In addition a 24, 000 square metre display area will be devoted to special shows with a practical emphasis, dealing with the subjects of "Cleaning Glass and Facades", "Aerial Work Platforms" and "Expanded Services". The four day trade show will be accompanied by an extensive conference programme focussing on the service sector and also on the market for cleaning machinery and products. On 18 September there will be a special day devoted to Central and Eastern Europe, focusing on Poland, the Czech Republic and Hungary, with opportunities for an exchange of information with those industry representatives who have a particular interest in East/West business. The CMS 2007 is organised by Messe Berlin GmbH. The following professional organisations are sponsoring this event: Bundesinnungs-verband des Gebäudereiniger-Handwerks, Bonn, representing the national guilds, Fachverband Reinigungssysteme im Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau, Frankfurt, representing cleaning systems, and Industrieverband Hygiene und Oberflächenschutz, Frankfurt, responsible for industrial hygiene and surface protection. The three sponsoring associations will be joining forces to stage their presentation on Stand 208 in Hall 3.2 at the CMS 2007. During today's press conference in Berlin the associations described the current situation in the industry and the value of this year's CMS as follows: There has been a significant increase in the demand for high performance, compact scrubber-driers and for competent services to support the work of site cleaning. The VDMA survey of the industry has provided recent confirmation of the positive developments within the industry. It reveals that three quarters of the manufacturers who were questioned are expecting an upturn in business at home and abroad by the end of 2007. Export prospects in Europe, especially in Central and Eastern Europe, are regarded as particularly promising. Parallel with the trade show all industry representatives will be able to access the latest information during the accompanying programme of conferences. On 19 September under the general heading of "Business Management" the BIV will be providing details about the influence of current political developments, e-commerce and logistics, and about the expansion of the European labour market and current technical developments. On 20 September the emphasis will shift to "Contract Awarding and Invitations to Tender", when the choice of assessment criteria and EU contract awarding will be examined. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
