| The Ceatec Japan The Ceatec Japan Organizing Committee announced today that Ceatec Japan 2007, the world's most comprehensive exhibition of cutting-edge information technology (IT) and electronics technologies, will be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture for the 5-day period from Tuesday, October 2, to Saturday, October 6. With the rapid development of digital technologies has come profound change in the fields of imaging, information and communications equipment and systems. At the same time, the expansion of information technology (IT) infrastructures has led to new convergence in areas such as broadcasting, communications and the Internet. All of these factors are combining to create new businesses, markets and industries. Digital convergence represents the coming together of technologies, products, industries and markets under the umbrella of digital technologies, as well as the process by which these developments are absorbed into new industries and markets. In 2007, at the eighth staging of CEATEC JAPAN, visitors will be able to witness industry and market trends in the IT and electronics fields. They will also experience new business styles and lifestyles by understanding the value-added technologies, products and services, the changes to our society, lifestyles and commerce, and the new industries and markets wrought by digital convergence. This year, CEATEC JAPAN will open two important new special exhibits: the newly established Digital Contents Pavilion, which will highlight the dynamism, diversity and direction of Japan's digital contents industry, and the Automotive Pavilion, where numerous examples of the convergence of automotive and electronics technologies will be introduced. New achievements and products in highly topical technology fields will be highlighted in the RFID Pavilion and Advanced Jisso Process Technology Pavilion. CEATEC JAPAN's uniqueness and diversity will also be visible in special exhibits such as the HATS Plaza, Accessibility Plaza and a special pavilion focusing on new digital broadcasting technologies. A special stage theme-Electronic Components and Devices Sustaining Monozukuri Innovation-has been decided for the Electronic Components, Devices and Manufacturing Equipment Stage to shine the spotlight on the components and devices that sustain rapid technological developments, as well as the technologies and products that create new industries and markets. Working closely with the Japanese government's Visit Japan campaign, CEATEC JAPAN is actively working to increase its number of international visitors. This year, the Management Office will reinforce the show's International Visitors Center and, through the JETRO BIZMATCH@CEATEC JAPAN exhibit co-sponsored by the Japan External Trade Organization and CEATEC JAPAN, will promote business networking by Japanese and foreign companies. write your comments about the article :: © 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
