| Hong Kong International Medical & Health Care Fair  Following its successful debut in 2006, the Hong Kong International Medical & Health Care Fair returns in August 2007. The fair will be held concurrently with Food Expo and the International Conference & Exhibition of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products from August 16-20, 2007 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre - the three fairs enjoy a synergy effect. Visitors can achieve triple goals at one time: source and obtain information on food and Chinese medicine as well as medical and health care products and services.With increasing affluence in Asia, people are becoming more concerned with their health and well being, leading to rising demand for high-quality medical products and services. In response to this trend, the Hong Kong International Medical & Health Care Fair has quickly established itself as an important event in the medical and health care industry. Last yearmore than 5, 200 trade buyers and more than 114, 000 members of the public visited the fair. Health care services, dental care products, health care products and medical equipment, laboratory equipment and more will be on display. The fair will provide industry professionals with an international trading platform, while also giving local and international companies networking and information-exchange opportunities. On the exhibitor list are Philips Electronics Hong Kong Ltd., Hong Kong Health Check and Medical Diagnostic Centre and Culture Homes (Outlet Stores Wholesale Centre) Limited, as well as many private hospitals in Hong Kong. There are also many prominent exhibitors from outside Hong Kong, for instance, Bumrungrad International from Thailand and Swiss Leading Hospitals from Switzerland. Around 110 companies from 19 countries and regions will showcase their latest products and services to both trade buyers and the general public at the fair. The highlight of the fair will be the Hong Kong Virtual Hospital, an educational display area sponsored by the Hong Kong Private Hospitals Association.
