Decoration + Design Melbourne 07 - Furniture Trade Fair

The countdown to Decoration + Design Melbourne 07 has begun with over 150 of the best international and Australian interior wholesalers and suppliers showcasing their latest products. Held over four days at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre from 19-22 July 2007, this annual event has become a must-see on the design calendar with exhibitors releasing thousands of new ranges. DECORATION + DESIGN 07 continues to attract leaders of the furnishings and interiors industry with a huge range of products on show including fabrics, lighting, floorcoverings, accessories, artwork and objets d'art.

Well-known companies such as Order Imports, Bisque Interiors, Hermon & Hermon, Emma Jay Designs and Snow Rugs are joined by first time exhibitors such as Flaxfield and Fashionista Furnishings who hope to attract new markets and interest in their products.

This year Hermon & Hermon will be showcasing a stylish range of lighting now available to the trade under the label of H&H Collection. Carolyn Hughes from Hermon & Hermon is sure that this exclusive collection will appeal to Architects and Interior Designers visiting the Fair.

Fashionista Furnishings is another first time exhibitor at the Fair and will use DECORATION + DESIGN Melbourne 07 to launch a new range of luxurious cushions, furniture and furnishing accessories that are designed and manufactured in Italy. The thing that sets these pieces apart from others in the market is that they all have unique decorative designs in Swarovski crystals.

The cushions are sure to be popular with a choice of up to 70 different colours in either rich velvet, elegant silk or smooth faux suede, which you can then individualise even further with one of the nine exquisite Swarovski crystal designs.

One of the most popular installations is the Inspiration Pavilion and the adjoining Petite Rooms. In this area the latest colours and themes for 2008/2009 and beyond are showcased through only newly release products, including fabrics, furniture, soft furnishings, floorcoverings, lights, decorative accessories, objects d'art and homewares. Central to the Inspiration Pavilion is the Petite Rooms where 12 of Australia's most talented designers and decorators will fit out their interpretation of one of four nominated themes: Enduring, Ephemeral, Speed and Slow in a 'petite' room.
