| International Fair of Childrenīs and Young Peopleīs Fashion FIMI - International Fair of Childrenīs and Young Peopleīs Fashion is due to open its doors at Feria Valencia from 6th to 8th July 2007, with a display of products ranging from childrenīs fashion and accessories to collections for future moms, layettes and gifts for babies and toddlers. For this 65th FIMI, we also have special occasions and beachwear collections. This complete spectrum of childrenīs fashion is guaranteed by 250 exhibiting firms offering their products to an estimated 7000 trade visitors. This edition of FIMI is lending a special focus to a series of actions targeting points of sale, making up the bulk of buyers visiting the fair. These consist of a window dressing workshop, a self-diagnosis test, and the presentation of trends for the 2008 Spring Summer season by GV Lines, aimed primarily at buyers. In turn, Promostyl, the international trend research and design agency is presenting trends for the 2008-2009 Autumn Winter season for exhibitors. Promostyl has drawn up the guidelines for the new trends for the upcoming season, which it has titled "Letīs go for a walk". The tendencies bring the 50s and 60s to mind with "Preppy Rockabilly", before moving along a summery path in "Summer Stroll" and "By the Pastel Sea". These tendencies will be readily visible in Pasarela FIMI, one of the fairīs great success stories. This edition it is divided into three separate shows. Pasarela FIMI will feature collections by Agatha Ruiz de la Prada Baby, AKR Kids, Laranjinha, Lourdes, Mini a Ture, Pan con Chocolate, Rubio Kids, Tuc Tuc and Tutto Piccolo. Meanwhile, swimwear collections from DC Kids, Marina Hernández and Oh Soleil are presented in Splash! And for the summer edition, collections for special occasions from Barcarola, Paqui Barroso and Ana M. Remesal - Bugui Bugui will be featured in Pasarela Magic Day. FIMI will also be hosting the prize-giving ceremony for the IMI Awards for Innovation in Childrenīs and Young Peopleīs Fashion. Cri Cri won the Product Innovation Award for its incorporation of hydrating and anti-bacteria properties to baby clothes. In the Innovation in Productive Processes category, the award went to Creaciones Suay for its innovative system of design management using an Internet platform. Finally, the Marketing and Commercialisation Award went to Tuc Tuc, for the optimal approach of its commercial strategy to the product-market binomial. The goals of these awards are to improve the competitiveness of Childrenīs Fashion companies through sustainable competitive advantages; to publicise new innovative techniques; to generate a greater sense of proximity in the sector; and, finally, to reward and recognise the efforts made by those companies and organisations investing in innovation within the industry. With these awards FIMI wants to encourage companies to invest in innovation with a view to improving competitiveness in the face of imports. write your comments about the article :: Đ 2007 Exhibition News :: home page |
