Royal Show - The Royal International Agricultural Exhibition

New income streams and business opportunities for innovative and forward-thinking farmers will be the focus of a new feature at this year's Royal Show. Profitable Futures will be a central attraction of the 2007 event which takes place at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire from July 1-4. The new feature will help farmers turn industry challenges into financial reward. The six inter-linked areas of the feature will showcase new opportunities for farmers and provide advice on how best to capitalise on them to ensure the future profitability of their businesses

Visitors will be able to consult with experts about understanding their consumers, adding value to their products and how best to collaborate within the food chain, all of which will help to improve efficiency and subsequently farm enterprise profitability.

The feature brings together the areas of renewable energy and non-food crops with the latest advice on environmental stewardship and waste management. Adding value in the food chain and advice on profitable diversification complete the picture in the three-acre section of the showground.

Profitable Futures sees the show's organiser, the Royal Agricultural Society of England, working in partnership with leading government agencies and other organisations, including the Renewable Energy Association and the Food Chain Centre, both of which are involved in the Royal Show for the first time in 2007.

The National Non-Food Crops Centre and Natural England have also confirmed their participation. The country's top experts in their field will be on hand to provide farmers with down-to-earth advice to take away and make on-farm changes to generate new income streams.
