| BuildingsNY Pushes the 'Green' Envelope Significant New Initiatives  BuildingsNY, the #1 all-encompassing event for residential and commercial buildings, plants and facilities, has embraced the transformation of an industry and enhanced its offering for buildings professionals with several significant initiatives designed to provide 'green' information and product sourcing opportunities at the upcoming June 27-28 event at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York, NY. BuildingsNY has formed an alliance with the United States Green Buildings Council (USGBC) to assist them, as well as the New York chapter, in reaching the New York buildings marketplace.The USGBC is the nation's foremost coalition of leaders from every sector of the building industry working to promote buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable and healthy places to live and work. USGBC is composed of 7, 500 member organizations and a network of 75 regional chapters that work toward advancing its mission of transforming the building industry to sustainability.
