The 32nd International Amateur Radio Trade Fair

The HAM RADIO homes in again on the younger generation in 2007: Following the good feedback that was received about the first Youth Day last year, the 2007 exhibition will include two days – Friday and Saturday – full of activities for the younger exhibition visitors. The 32nd International Amateur Radio trade fair will be taking place from 22nd to 24th June 2007 on the exhibition grounds in Friedrichshafen. Around 200 exhibitors and associations from 30 countries will be showcasing an overview of the whole amateur radio sector.

The exhibition is an annual meeting point for around 18, 000 amateur radio enthusiasts from across the world. It is the number one fair for the industry in Europe and is seen as an opportunity to present ideas and make purchases. The exhibition will be taking place along side the HAMtronic presenting a wide range of products from the amateur radio and electronics fields. One money-saving option for inventors and DIY enthusiasts is the HAM flea market.

A first class meeting and promotion program that will be taking place during the 58th Bodensee Meeting of the German Amateur Radio Club (DARC) rounds off the exhibition. More than 50 lectures and around 20 meetings are on the program and the younger amateur radio generation will be meeting again at the HAM-Camp from 21st to 24th June 2007.

A special training course has been organised under the motto "From amateur radio user to engineer" that will be taking place during the HAM RADIO. To this end, the DARC, the 'amateur radio and telecommunications in schools' work group and the Friedrichshafen exhibition have invited teachers from Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria to Friedrichshafen. These teachers are expecting lectures and workshops that take a close look at modern lessons on scientific and technical subjects.
