The dates for the next staging of GIFA 2007, International Foundry Trade Fair with WFO Technical Forum, have been announced: the event will take place from June 12 – 16, 2007 at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany. About 800 exhibitors and 50, 000 visitors from around the world are expected to attend this leading trade fair for the foundry industry.
A special feature at GIFA 2007 will be the North American Pavilion, organized by Messe Düsseldorf North America. This group exhibit offers U.S. and Canadian companies a cost-effective means to enter into or to expand their business in the overseas marketplace.

Exhibit categories at GIFA 2007 will include foundry machinery and plant construction, casting machinery and equipment, melting processes as well as molding and core making. Special presentations and a forum will complement the exhibits.

Hans-Dieter Honsel, Head of Honsel Holdings Germany GmbH and President of the German Association of Foundrymen, was unanimously elected President of GIFA 2007.

When GIFA was last held in 2003, 793 exhibitors and 50, 000 visitors from 35 nations took part in the event. International participation was high: 48 percent of the visitors came from countries other than Germany and 55 percent of the exhibitors were from outside of Germany - with Italy (123), Great Britain (47), the U.S. (46) and France (41) as the leading foreign exhibitor nations.
